Backdated post. Actual event took place on 23 December 2005.
Christmas celebration is always the best.
And the long awaited Christmas party is here!
Can’t wait for the warm feeling and the happy and cheerful mood.
The beautifully lighted and filled with ornaments on Christmas trees makes it feel even better.
I hope everyday is Christmas day 🎄!
Since our office gave us an extra day leave, I woke up early to help Eunice with the Christmas party.
I pack and brought over 10 trays of konnyaku jelly to the potluck party.
Haha, it is my favourite and I can finish up 3 trays on my own.
After packing the jellies, I head off to KL Sentral and meet Eunice there as she is trying to get a bus ticket for her brother.
We then head over to pick up the roast turkey from Jake’s Charbroil Steakhouse.
The roast turkey smells just so good.
Within just seconds, the whole car smells like a big roast turkey oven!
I am feeling hungry now!
Our adventure continues and we stopped by Bangsar to shop for tonight’s party.
The mall was jammed pack with people, and searching for parking is madness.
We bought so many things and we had a hard time carrying the stuff to the car since our parking spot is rather far.
On our way back, me and Eunice fell slept.
Poor Alvin! He is the only one forced to be awake since he drove us there.
Sorry, I got to recharge my energy level as I need to help to cook later on.
Once we reached Eunice’s place, we quickly unloaded the groceries.
Alvin took his turn to rest while we do our preparation magic.
I helped with soaking and cleaning the vegetables, meat and seafood.
Summarizing our 6 to 7 hours of preparation into one line, we managed to finish cooking all the dishes before 8pm.
Ganesh aka Idol, was the first to arrive.
As usual, he is the punctual one and by 9pm everyone turned up.
After spending 7 hours of preparation and cooking, finally the eating time.
It is the best moment. Yes, food and more food.
We gathered around the dining table and start eating after Ivan says grace.
So much yummy food! From mashed potatoes to cheesy nachos to sandwiches and salad.
Not forgetting the yummy fried squid and roast turkey!
Wow! I am so full. I think I’ve gained a few kilos from the dinner.
The guys in the house were busy watching America’s Next Top Model.
I don’t blame them, all the good food and beautiful looking models.
They just goes together so well.
But you guessed it right, the drinking session is about to begin after the show.
The crazy and exciting moment of the night is about to start.
It was a chill and laid back night, until Alvin took out the drinking games.
And obviously he wants us all to lose and drink .
The first game was a electric drinking game.
So everyone is supposed to press the button and the last person to do so will get electrified.
And of course the last person also gets to down a shot.
I am lucky my reflex is OK and I just only got electrocuted once that night.
Yes! Concentrate girl, concentrate!
It is key to not lose this game.
We then moved on to play our childhood game.
The classic “ONE TWO JUS”!
It started with me playing this with Ganesh.
But luck was not on my side, and I lost 4 out of 6 games.
Since there are quite a number of us, we will swap people to play after every 6th glass.
This is where the winner will pick a new person to challenge.
Just when I thought my luck was bad, Thirun’s luck was worst.
He lost uncountable times and he was drink from playing this game alone.
And who would have guessed, Meng’s luck in this game was way worst than Thirun’s.
Haha, no joke. In this game alone, he had more than 15 shots!
Talking about being thirsty!
I guess “ONE TWO JUS” is just not his thing.
We changed to another game since Meng couldn’t take it anymore.
Haha, we moved on to the “7 game”.
Rules: We cannot mention any number that has 7 in it or any number with the multiple of 7.
We will have replace number 7 with the word “UP”, and when someone says “UP” the turn turns anti-clockwise.
Haha, I pity John and Thirun.
This is really not their strength!
Meng and Alvin nailed it! They are the grandmaster in this game!
I remember this is their key drinking game.
And in the middle of the game, they add on additional new rules – When someone lose, we can’t say the word “drink” when we want them to down the shots. We had to replace it with “F*ck me”
Poor Ganesh, I think this rule was created to punish him.
He said the “drink” word so many times that he had like 8 – 9 shots just because he kept asking people to “drink”.
Haha, remember to say “F*ck ME” and not “drink” or “down”.
Now drink more my Idol!
Before midnight, most of them were drunk.
But I am glad we still manage to get a nice group photo before the party ended.
I was so tired but happy at the same time and I really enjoyed myself.
Cheers and Merry Christmas everyone 🎄!
