Backdated post. Actual event took place on 27 August 2006. Ah… *blink blink* Jerry, my god-brother who happens to first see this world on the independence day. Hemm. Now.. for him, it’s a pride thing. Every year confirm got holiday on his birthday. Confirm got extra discounts on outings for the day. Hemmm… now, being his god-sister, I was assigned to plan a birthday party. I initially wanted to throw a dinner cum drinking while listening to live bands at Oasis, Bangsar. Jerry however was more interested in karaoke which twist and turned the whole plan to a karaoke party session. It was supposed to be a Saturday thing but since he have plans to watch Eason Chan’s concert so it was being pushed to Sunday noon K. Ah… that day was a massive singing and screaming and yelling session. Everyone just go all out to sing whatever song that was playing. Even those which some of us accidently pressed. Seems like everyone just knows how to sing every and any song. Then again.. the “pakai hantam” concept always works. We wanted to sing more but our time is up in a blink of an eye. Jerry have to leave early cause he have to pick his girlfriend up from work and head to movies. Me, brian, gigi and jon have plans to watch Monster’s House while Shirley and Chris plan to watch some other movie. Jessy on the other hand… busy busy busy like a bee. 😀 While waiting for our shows, jessy waiting for her sister to come pick her and gigi to arrive, we all decided to go for coffee. Free reading magazines, coffee, quite and calm place… ah seems to be utopia. No where else comes close to Starbucks in Borders. We all chit chat, flip through magazines.. take pictures. It was amazing. I think we did like pretty much stuff. I like how we all always just sit down over a cup of coffee and have endless topics to talk about. It really keeps the mind going. We all then headed of to the Pavillion and catch our show while Jessy went home and continue with her stuff. Ah… I still remember the first time Shirley and Chris knows Brian is bringing his girlfriend out. Instead of questioning him, me and poor jon got it from them. Of course this sorta blanks can and only will be filled up by the couple itself, so yes, I’m leaving it all to Brian and Gigi to answer it all. Dinner is the way to go. More time to chit chat and ask whatever question which they actually wanted to ask. Haha… smart eh? Now… while they were busy with their Q&A session, I just eat, eat and eat more. I wouldn’t wanna get involved in any couple’s issue or else it would be the “when is your turn?” “when you wanna have a boyfriend?” question time. We picked the Ying Ker Restaurant since we all decided to go for something more chinese and some of us wanted rice :D. I love rice. I love it… don’t ask me why… you know why.. coz I am a typical chinese. We ordered Sauteed Siew Bak Choi with Abalone Sauce (RM10.00), Hakka Style Fried Pork Belly with Black Fungus (RM20.00), Claypot Beancurd with Minced Pork and Spring Onions (RM20.00) and a soup. I wasn’t really amazed with their standard of food. But well it’s not one of the worst I have eatan. Just if I was to compare this Hakka dishes and the one Jon brought us to, it was kinda disappointing. But then again… they are busy with their Q&A while I was busy giggling all the way. So… how bad the food taste doesn’t really matter anymore. After the dinner, Shirley and Chris head home while the 3 of us continue our er… 4th round for me at Winter Warmers… of course till late 🙂 Address: |
