Backdated post. Actual event took place on 12 July 2006. Yeah, like I say in my previous post, line up of birthdays and farewell just strike me. Right after having a sorta like farewell dinner and drinks with LKY. Now, Jae Sern is leaving town to go back to New Zealand after taking 2 weeks break to visit his nephew. Hehe… obviously we did abit of catch up and went party together. One must wonder why no post or pictures telling that he came back. Actually, we did went clubbing the weekend he arrive but it was too dark inside and all pictures turn out COMPLETE BLACK. Ah… yeah, back to the dinner before he left. We decided to go to back to the chinese place me and Gigi went the other time. Since we all wanted chinese. So yes, Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao which is located in Lot 10. Previously we ordered dishes and rice. This time around, we decided to try their specialties which is obviously La Mian and Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Pork Dumpling). We ordered a bowl of noodles each. Jae Sern have La Mian with Spice Spices Beef (RM12.00), I ordered La Mian with Beef in Chili Oil (RM12.00), Gigi ordered La Mian with Boneless Beef Tender (RM13.00) and Brian ordered La Mian in Hot & Sour Soup (RM10.00). We then ordered Spice Beef Shank (RM9.00) and Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumpling (RM7.00) to share around. I personally think my bowl of noodles taste superb. Wasn’t that spicy but it has this strong sesame fragrance. The beef is just so tender and absorbs the sesame and chili oil with beef… just simply amazing. I felt the Shanghai Steamed Pork Dumpling wasn’t that impressive. I am not sure… probably it’s their style. I felt it was lack of something and the meat somehow felt overcook. After dinner, we then walked to Dome and have drinks and chit chatted abit. Yeah, the Crystal Jade shop was closing then. We hang out a bit and we all liked Jae Sern’s T-Shirt so much with lots of colourful “family” member. Hahaha… wonder when will he be back to party with me 😐 Address: Address: |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 08 October 2006.
Another day, another Buka Puasa Buffet.
How can we stay away from spicy food during the Buka Puasa time.
I love to eat, and appreciate great company to eat with especially during the Buka Puasa times.
Chowing down lots of good food together is really exciting and fulfilling.
Adding in the small little talks and laughter is even better.
We decided that we should chill out and have some Buka Puasa Buffet together since Jit just came back from China 2 days ago.
We tried our many places for Buka Puasa event, so we decided that it is only right for us to try out new places.
Since all of us have not tried the Buka Puasa Buffet at Equatorial Hotel this year, this will be the pick.
It seems their Buka Puasa buffet spread hasn’t really change much for the past 4 years.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a complain. I am just glad I am still able to find familiar foods and taste.
I remember the good old times when our old office, XM is located right next to Equatorial Hotel.
Back then, we will have our Buka Puasa gathering here every year.
While their spread isn’t as grand as the Shangri La’s, but trust me their food quality is fantastic.
Their food is fresh and they are still roasting the lamb (which is the main highlight) when we first arrived.
They were also busy bringing out pots and pots of hot soup and dishes.
What I really like is that they made quite a number of food on the spot itself such as roti jala, pancakes, fried ice cream.
They even serve fresh seafood, whereby all you needed to do is pick your own seafood and pass it to them.
They will cook it on the spot and what is better than food served hot instead of being heated up with candles?

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 10 July 2006. Busy busy busy… birthdays and farewells all in a week. I think too much to handle. Almost every night schedule of the week was fully slot. No room for last minute changes or alteration. LKY’s tells me and Gigi that he is leaving to U.S to work. We were quite shocked as he just return not long ago. Yes, he always go and come back in a surprise manner. Not many people know when he came back, when he is practically going somewhere else. I guess thanks to MSN we get to contact each other more often. Yes, I think he didn’t really tell many people he is leaving. He told me he hated to say goodbye thus, he hated farewell. So, we didn’t actually call many people out to party around before he leave. We 3 just went to Chili’s, have a simple dinner. We then decided to go to Hartamas and have a drink when one of LKY’s friend call and say he wants to meet him too. Yes, James… meeting him for the first time. LKY kept promoting James saying he is a very nice and handsome guy. Suddenly, Gigi receive a phone call from Angeline. Apparently she drive pass by and saw Gigi’s car parked aside. She called and sounded furious saying that we did not invite her to join together (since she worked at Hartamas). She kept complaining… complaining.. from on the phone, till she arrive. But I think she miss out some facts, 1. LKY didn’t want so many people to know, thus not many people were invited. 2. It was a last minute thing and the idea only came up when we were leaving Chili’s at 10-ish. Who would have tot she is still in the office? Well.. that aside, James ordered quite a number of drink for LKY. Yeah… treat before he leave. Haha… drink which includes Flaming Lamborgini. Woohooo.. that really got the guys to spin around for a while. We all have a small chit chat while looking at the guys down their drinks. Sorta funny to see LKY’s face turn red (he is fair). Come back soon KY and we all go out and party okay? 😉 |
The best impression of a joker always comes from Batman and playing cards. Is it supposed to be entertaining or is it suppose to be funny? I have no idea. To me it is rather scary. But well, when it comes to card games… getting a joke always helps. So yeah, this week presenting the scary yet helpful joker to everyone. Ooo.. la la… L B did it again. First he comes and shock us with his almost naked assistant. This time… he comes showing us how sexy a joker can be. Mmm.. totally open my eyes to a new side of seeing what a joker is supposed to be. Now I won’t mind holding to that joker card. From hypnotizing to curiousity. Brian and his jokersheep comes back in action. I guess the town is never safe anymore. I think we need a batsheep to balance out things don’t we? *hint hint* The joker and I… hemmm, what can I say… my sketches on paper was suppose to look scary but somehow something went wrong with the illustrator. I think I accidently installed the Illustrator Cute v1.0. Yes… must be that. Sigh… gotta uninstall that and install the Illustrator Scary v1.1. So yeah… till then.. the cuteness continues. What is up next week? Project description: Yeay… pom pom, super short skirties, sexy babes, blondes… *drools* Need I say more? A position girls would die for… the hot girls the guys would die for. So let’s drool together! Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Be it good or bad… it’s just something we do for fun! Generate some cool ideas and well.. surely fill up some of our boring times 😀 Click on the banner go link to the project crossroad gallery.

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 9 July 2006. One year older, one year wiser. That is what they always say. I guess Brian and Jessy just got wiser that instant. It’s their birthday and our uni friends all get together and celebrated. Jon was the organizer this time. He brought us to this Hakka restaurant outside of Times Square. Yeah, he just brought his parents there a week ago and think it was a nice place so he recommended it to us. Since most of us don’t really know the way, we group up at Times Square in front of Borders. We then walk in a big group to the restaurant. I never know it’s actually that near. Jon have pre-ordered food. So once we were there, all we ever need to order is drinks. The food came non stop. We all wonder how many dish did Jon order. He ordered Lui Cha… which he recommended it very much. Saying it is a traditional Hakka dish and we must try it. It was my first encounter with such weird dish. It comes with a bowl of vegetable soup. No idea what was blended. The we have to add in more chopped vegetables, peanuts and lots more and eat it… or I should say drink it. It’s got this weird taste… ermmm not in a taste bad way. It’s got things stinging feel after each spoon and the after taste of the Lui Cha is just different. Unexplainable in words. Jon ordered the Pork Knuckles which was an instant hit with the boys. The Cha Yuk (Pork marinated with fermented bean curd.. which was then deep fried) is everybody’s favourite as it taste really good. The stir fry deer meat taste very much like pork except it’s sweeterand very tender. The fish was okay but there were several people who doesn’t like fish thus… there were many left to go around. The stir fry eggplant, deep fried stuff toufu and stir fry kailan was a goner in a blink of an eye as many of us were watching our diets. And greens and toufu seems to just fit in perfectly. Suan Pan Zhi (round little dumpling made of yam mixed with tapioca flour which was then steamed. It was then stir fried with meat and bean sprout) was something new as well as it was my firs try. I think it tasted good” Everyone was pretty much satisfied with the dinner. Jerry was especially happy as he loves to eat chinese dishes. By the time the cake came, everyone was full to the max but once they saw the ice-cream cake, they all just got so tempted. So tempted that no matter what happens, how hard it is, they will find a place to shove that slice of cake in. It was a FILLING, FULL yet FUN birthday celebration. Yes, I was surprised… I have my many first encounter for the day. I tried many new dishes… and learn more about Hakka dishes. Happy Birthday Brian and Jessy!! Well do it all over again next year! 😀 |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 7 July 2006. It’s one of those after movie mamak again. This time around, we just finished the ever popular teenage idol, Lindsay Lohan’s movie. Yes the night leaves a very funny moment to me. Yes, it’s the night Brian hold Gigi’s hand and walk up to me when I was busy watching the big screen outside the cinema. And he goes like “Ah man……. I…. “ when I just look at them while Gigi is laughing non-stop. Then I go like “Say it. Say it.” Then he goes like “Ah man…. I..” Then I was like “Say it.. say it.” Yes, Gigi is still laughing. The same lines repeated a few times when Brian just show me his hand holding gigi’s. Haha.. then I told him, “Believe what you hear, not what you see.” Gigi laugh even louder. Brian was like “Oooooh… want like this meh? See already also dun believe.” Then I just repeat my line. “Say it!! Say it!!” and he goes like “Ah Man, me and gigi paktor dy.” I guess he must take deep breaths! Then I was busy walking in towards the cinema and said, “Now that’s more like it!” Hehe… I’m so happy for them especially my best buddy now have a boyfriend. Muahahaa… but then wait, does that mean more pinching session? *falls and faint* Yes yes, it’s a lucky day with the lucky couple. Everyone else was busy wondering when they started. Some was shocked. Haha.. as for me… I always remain cool… coz I have sixth sense! I sense it coming! *evil grin* Woohooo…. love is in the air~~~ |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 1 July 2006. Ah… finally, after a long time… I finally set foot at Breakers. Hehe… last time, brian used to say I am like promoting for Breakers since I took lots of pictures there. Ermm almost a weekly thing. This time around, we all went with Gigi’s colleagues. It was sorta fun. I was dared to max out Alan’s phone memory card by snapping pictures. Well, without a doubt… I surely can do it 🙂 I’m known to my friends for snapping the most pictures. So hahaha… that’s an easy one! It was the night where Germany is playing against Argentina. I remember everyone wasn’t that much concentrating on the pool table. Every chance they could, they would lift their head and look at the TV. Brian was supporting Argentina. And me… because of Ballack!!! I go Germany all the way! Muahaha… *evil grin* Ballack didn’t disappoint me. We then decided to leave when it was the penalty shot. So we just stop at the front door and look at the projector screen! I was jumping happily and hitting Brian’s arm! I can’t help it. I am overwhelmed and happy and excited all together. We then went to the mamak nearby.. sat down, took more pictures, eat and chit chatted until around 4am. I must say, I saw lots of sad Argentina’s supporters face and lots of happy Germany fans. Talk about that… obviously the pictures above… is only half of the pictures that maxed out Alan’s memory card. But lots of it was dark and pixeled. I actually never know why.. coz on the Nokia screen it looks bright and all.. but when download out.. it is dark.*sigh* Breakers Pub & Café Telephone: +60 3 6203 3353 |
You bet, I am still wondering how they could just do amazing things like turn newspaper to money. Make stuffs disappear and appear in others pocket. I was always amazed.. until my mum spoils it for me. My mum will always tell me, if they can change newspaper to money that easily, they won’t have to perform and earn money. Which is true and make sense. But well, one just can’t help but to wonder! So this week, it’s all about the magic, the little white rabbit, the doves, the sexy assistant and obviously the magician. LB return from his long long trip and has manage to throw his brand new iPod nano away for 5 minutes and drew this. The White Rabbit is all set to rule the magic land. Woo… looking at the sexy almost naked assistant. Er… eh LB, can take away the hands ar? *opss I did it again~~~* Okay, even Brian make it to the podium finish by submitting his magic-sheep. Well, looks more like a wizard than magician.. I would say it does look magical, hypnotizing and colourful. Makes me wanna go get a big lollipop and just slurp it all the way. Very different approach, really very colourful. Haha.. first time ever I see the sheep with colourful eyes. Like the gameboy says “Level Up” My version of magician is rather cute one with the beanie’s bottom. Hehe.. I always love this beanies thing. Yeah… mine was with 2 cute little rabbit hiding in the hat. Ermmm.. nope, no sexy assistant as I am never good at drawing curvy body. So in the meantime, you all can just drool at LB’s drawing. What is up next week? Project description: Ah… pretty much self-explain theme. Erm, in case one wonder, they can always check the deck of playing cards, or even watch Batman. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Be it good or bad… it’s just something we do for fun! Generate some cool ideas and well.. surely fill up some of our boring times 😀 Click on the banner go link to the project crossroad gallery.

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 26 June 2006. Yet another company lunch. So much fun, so much food… *burp*. Haha, it is Zul’s birthday. So yes, we jump right downstairs and had lunch. This time around, we decided to go another place at the hotel. We dine at Still Waters. Still Waters provides a contemporary dining experience with strong Japanese presence known as ‘Sosaku’ cuisine, which means creative cooking. Yup there is a lot of fusion thing going on around this place. The exotic Japanese cuisine is fused with European and Asian flavours. I like the surrounding with lots of japanese sake bottle. The calligraphy on the bottle looks beautiful and colourful. The ambience is so beautiful with ropes and lighting. Looks so nice. Too bad Adrian have to meet a client and can’t make it to join us. Prem ordered the Grilled Lamb. It looks good with this fusion taste to it. It has got this japanese sauce with the western feel. Loh ordered the Chicken Terriyaki which have a very good presentation. I didn’t try what he had as my food arrived and.. yeay.. so many things to eat, don’t know where to start first. Mine, azli and zul’s was the set lunch. Woo… What can I say.. it’s really filling. Yummie.. waiting to celebrate the next person in the office’s birthday. Still Waters at Hotel Maya email: info@hotelmaya.com.my |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 19 June 2006. Haha.. the day after I return from my Cameron trip, my office decided to go have lunch buffet at Hotel Maya. Yeah, that’s the closest place ever to my office. Some may ask what’s the occassion. It’s actually a welcome lunch for Zul. Yeah, he is the new designer. Yes, another addition to the Flare family member. Which still make me the only girl in the office. Well, supposedly Zul has join us for like a month or so… maybe two. Yeah, so it is sorta like a delayed lunch thing. Hehe.. well which is also an excuse for us to try out their new theme. This time around it’s the Chinese like theme. Most of the stuff were cook in chinese style. We’ve got shark’s fin soup, kam heong prawns, stir fry vege with mushrooms, mussels, stir fry beef and loads more. Prem was complaining why the sashimi’s were still there since they change the theme. But well, I guess it’s always been there. No matter how the theme changes.. they surely have it there, but unlike previous round, they didn’t have fresh oyster this time, instead… it’s been replaced with some kinda “la la”. Well… what can I say, “welcome to the family” (yeay.. another guy for me to bully) *evil grin* Maya Brasserie at Hotel Maya email: info@hotelmaya.com.my |
