Steel, cold hearted, emotionless. That are the constant words used to describe robots. Everyone thinks that way. I think that way too. How can a robot take over the world and take over human. It’s just so not possible. But then again, impossible is nothing. This week, I decided to go for the Robotica theme. Right, since some is bored with animals and what not. So yes, I proudly present you with Robotica. I sorta think this weeks title is a little too difficult for many as… ahhahaa… I’ve some messages and all thinking it was rather challenging and hahaha the number of submissions just lessen. Jimbo bombard me with a bluish image right… with a very emotional and heart-felt robot. Ah… so cute and lovely robot named bobot. I think the robot looks kinda cute reminding me of rappunzel (lets hope I get the name rite). Ermmm just that now she doesn’t have to let down her hair. 😀 Just so cool. Brian did up this sheepotic. Hehehe… I somehow felt it looks more like a red penguin. But well.. the retro feel with the redness, does makes it look cute. Me and my dumberbot. My cute little robot that rolls around.. right… to fat to walk. Rolls around Roboland. With it’s braces and screws on the lose.. well.. right.. it’s not some smart robot. It’s dumber than dumb robot. But well, he is cute and aggressive robot. Grrrrr…. beware~ Takeru hehehe… handing in late homework this time manage to submit us with one of his own transformer version of robot. Right…. no other than his takebot. How cute, it eventually transform in to a tortoise. Haha… I guess he has special interest with tortoise. What is up next week? Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Be it good or bad… it’s just something we do for fun! Generate some cool ideas and well.. surely fill up some of our boring times 😀 Click on the banner go link to the project crossroad gallery.

FRIENDz-terism
I need care… I want to care.. I feel like caring. To care even more, we even have a bunch of care-animals… to show care and appriciate art and us. I still remember when I was a little girl, I would always sit in front of the television and wait to see carebears. Now… we all have a group of care-animals. Each one special… each one unique… each one different. Jimbo did something very cute for me… awwww so lovely. He did a Guardian Panda name MandyPandy. Hehehe.. so cute… right, I like panda and pinky and purple. Hehe… The best part, the little girl is holding something that I always hold in hand 🙂 What is it? You must guess. Brian is ever famous for his sheep character. Every week a different sheep, a different purpose, a different feel. This time around, his little sheepo is here to care for us, Care Sheep. Hehehe… his sheepo has special powers which is Starburst. Erm… according to brian… the sheep actually give hopes to children. Yes, make a wish and send it to the stars. Jenhan decided to join our care family this time round and present us with his Carepopotamus. A lovely but kaypo hippopotamus. He has this special binoculars and well… surely is used to peek and kaypo around. Ah… just like his personality always does. Takeru and his care kura-kura, has a mission. To show people how to be creative. The bulb represents idea. Yes, his special powers… spread ideas around, and let’s be creative. A cute tortoise that manages to get along with people. Yes, I hope everyone is touched by his powers. Haha~ 😀 I make up a version of my own care bears. I have my CareTeddyBear. As cute and cuddly as it is, it posses a powerful power. Hehe… alcohol… true, everybody needs to drink and relax once in a while. Best occassion for CareTeddyBear to show up.. parties!!! Hehehe… cheer babe! Cheers! Martini anyone? What is up next week? Anyone and everyone is welcome to join. Be it good or bad… it’s just something we do for fun! Backdated post. Actual event took place on 18 April 2006. Woo… after an expensive lunch, we decided to save our wallet a little. Yes, I can see the hole in my wallet is getting bigger and bigger. Poor me *sob sob*. We decided to go to a so call mamak and eat. Haha… I guess everyone would have seen the pictures of this familiar place till boringz. Then again… they have great food. So, how can I help to control myself to not go there over and over again. I think this time was loh’s first time there. Hehe… As usual, we ordered a lot and a lot and a lot of stuffs once again. Well.. I guess is a norm tradition especially when you go to hawker centre. I dunno others, but it gives me this satisfying or happy feel each time I see a table full of food. I must say this once again… the mutton roast is so yummy~~~~~~~ Help!!! feel like eating mutton roast out of a sudden! |
Right after such wonderful Korean food, we decided to hang out a little. Have some coffee or tea while catch up a little. Yes, many things has happened and changed since we left uni, when we start to work, when we seldom meet up. Everybody was busy. When we arrived at Coffee Bean (located beside Breakers in Desa Sri Hartamas) we all were like a bunch of school kids crowding the canteen auntie looking at what we want and busy talking and asking. Yes, Wai Khiong decided to treat us for drinks. Hehe… he wants to thanks us for the nice dinner 😀 Well… me, brian and jerry decided to get wai khiong a slice of cake. What is birthday without cake! So I picked a rather fruity one. Hehe.. at least it’s not too much to handle after such wonderful dinner. Jerry then walked out from Coffee Bean singing happy birthday loudly. Everyone of us join in. Wai Khiong was so shy that I guess he really wanted to cover his face! No worries Wai Khiong… not much people looking ar! We then sit down… chit chat… busy taking, posing and looking pictures. Haha… it was just simply busy! I am glad everyone did manage to pose a “v” pose for me 🙂 The guys were shy, so yeah… I am grateful and thankful! Cheers people! |
From football to monsters, that is quite a big leap in terms of project theme.
I always think monsters are creepy until I saw Monster’s Inc.
It totally blow my mind away !
I was reminded of the monsters as I saw movie clips of Monster’s Inc. when I was watching the Cars.
So here I am, celebrating the a new celebration – Monster’s Day.
On this day, I present you with our own version of monsters.
Brian was the first to submit his Monster Sheep .
As cute and as monster as it can be, he totally eats the theme.
I totally love the big horns and bloody red eyes.
Ever consider turning it into a plush toy?
L B is quick to shock us with his Octobunny!
It surely looks electrifying but at a glance, it does look a little like an Octobat to me.
The Octobunny surely will do the trick in scaring little kids especially when they are about to eat octopus or squids!
Jimbo submitted yet another bunny monster.
He presented us with his cool Lola Bunny.
Cute yet madly angry bunny.
Now it got me wondering if bunnies were that scary in real life.
Seems quite a number of bunny monster is submitted.
Takeru also joined in the fun with his takerumon.
Together, they both will take over takeruworld !
Takerumon had cute plaster on his belly button and nailed his head.
Looks so totally cute yet invasive.
Takeru, can you draw me a mandymon too?
May came back from Beijing, just in time to submit her Duckoora.
I am quite certain that is was inspired by Peking Duck .
No meat, no crispy skin left. Just tje beak and showgirl feathers and gangreen (gangrene, get it?) legs.
My version of monster was too harmonious and in fact they came in a family.
Mini, Miney and Mo.
They are a family of monsters that have the cutest eyes .
They just love to stare weirdly at people while they were snoring and dreaming.
What is up next week?
Project theme: Careanimals (our own version of Carebears)
Project description: We are inspired by our childhood cartoon – Carebears. If you are an 80’s baby, you will know and would have seen it at least once. So please submit your version of careanimals and tell me what magical things can they do.
Project deadline: 4 July 2006, Tuesday.

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 16 April 2006. Time of the month to celebrate some birthdays. Hehe… Yeah…. I just love to celebrate birthdays. Thinking of the new places I will be exposed to.. and not to mention the good food and the good company I am going to get while dining. I believe in order to taste the best food in life, besides good recommendation, there is a lot of factors that determine it. For instances, good companion… I won’t like to dine with someone who eats two piece and say they are full or on diet. I dun like people keep telling me.. this is fattening and lecture me on calories while eating. Good ambience… it’s not like I don’t eat at the roadside stalls and all… I do but then again… there is alot of factor that define the ambience… for instances I dun like rats and roaches as company. Quality food… I dislike eating expensive and food that I felt people who only knows how to cook maggie can do better than that. Last but not least, the mood to eat. Well, I always like to someone to tell me earlier on some outing to eat coz I have this habit of having an idea of what I can create the mood to eat. Yes, if I don’t have the mood to eat, I just can’t eat… but when I do… I can eat like mad. Yah… people that sees me eat plates and plates and plates… hahaha.. you know what I mean! Back to the topic again (yeah, I am good at diverting stories)… it’s Wai Khiong’s birthday and this time around, we celebrated it at a Nak Won Korean Restaurant located at Desa Sri Hartamas. It’s located at some quite quiet place which I have no idea actually any stalls were located there. Well.. the shop is located behind Soda Disco. Yah… in order to park and enter the place, you will have to drive in to the car park located next to Soda. Well… forgive me for not taking any front shots of the shop as we were late for the party. Hahaha… yup, I can conveniently blame it on Jerry as he comes and pick me up late! Yeay~ Well, I guess he is not really in the mood that day as his girlfriend could not make it to the dinner. But well… when we arrive, every arrived and guess what… food is served! Talk about the right timing! Jessy is the organizer for this time birthday dinner. She ordered loads of stuff. We have so much people that we break in to 2 tables. Our table manage to have Charcoal Grilled BBQ beef while Wai Khiong’s table have the lamb as most of the people there doesn’t take beef. The beef was superb. It was tender and the meat absorbs the marinate sauce so well. We have Charcoal Grilled BBQ chicken and Charcoal Grilled BBQ pork as well. Yeah… food was simply fantastic. Everyone simply just can’t have enough of it. But well… like I say, I still prefer the beef to the other meats which well.. I normally prefer pork! The loads of small plates of appertizers makes me go crazy ! Every one of it tasted so different yet delicious. The best part, it’s refillable. We refilled and refilled almost like everything. And eat and eat and eat and munch and munch. I can’t tell you how much I love the kimchi’s and the spinach with sesame seed! Ah…. I want more and more and more! Besides that, Jessy also ordered the Steam Egg. It was somehow unique. It tasted a little like Chawan-mushi. The texture and the filling is almost the same except this one tasted a little lighter. Hehe… not many guys on the table likes this stuff. They say it tasted weird and they are not used to steamed eggs. Everyone of us have our own bowl of Kimchi Beef Soup. I think it is a complimentary dish. It tasted fantastic and I must say… it is the main highlight of the day! Yes… nothing on the table can beat the taste of this soup. The beef taste with the spicy yet a little soury taste. Ah… I simply just love it. I wish they serve extra 3 bowls per pax. They even end the occasion with some traditional Korean dessert. I have no idea what it was… they say it was some rice water. Well, it actually looked and tasted like barley to me. No idea, there isn’t anything I can investigate with as it’s purely water and has nothing inside for me to look around at. Well.. some might like it… some might not. For sure Jerry didn’t enjoy his meal as he was complaining all the way. Well, he’s the type that must have proper meal like rice… and rice kind of person. I don’t know, He doesn’t fancy steamboat, he doesn’t fancy grilling or BBQ stuff, he doesn’t really fancy buffet. Hahaha.. don’t ask me what he likes. I guess he would love Chinese food, since he love to eat rice. Haha… Well… since the night is still early, we then went for second round right behind the restaurant. We went to have drinks at Coffee Bean (right next to Breakers). Yeah… more pictures next post! NAK WON KOREAN RESTAURANT Tel: 03-6201 3004/016-225 9800. Business Hrs: Daily (11am-11pm). |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006. That’s right. We finally make it to the Winter Warmer’s Coffee and Tea House. It’s been a talk and a vision for us to go there to have tea.. since like.. ages ago. Well it remains as a talk only since we always go for late dinner and not to mention this place close rather early for us. We either haven’t finish our dinner or well, we just wasn’t in luck. I totally love the serious english look in at the place. From the wallpaper to the colour scheme. It is totally interesting. Not to even mention the pottery they have inside with the big floral patterns on it. Simply interesting. It does give a very warm and cottage feel to it. Gigi ordered Rose Coffee that comes in a mug that has rose floral on it. The coffee was topped with whipped cream and dried rose bud. Ah… I can smell the rose smell from the place I was sitting. I ordered something more common. Iced peach tea. Well.. it turned out not common at all. Just as my drink arrive I can smell the peach smell over powering other smell. It surely have a very strong peach taste to it. In addition to it, the peach flavoured jellies were so chewy. It gives the drink an extra kick! Brian ordered mix fruit tea. The colour at first look like ribena to me as it was rather purple. It was interesting how it was being served. Eventually the tea was served in a pot. In the cup there were apple cubes with something that seems like syrup. I didn’t actually taste it as I was busy with my own drink. Yummie. We didn’t manage to stay late as the place close rather early (erm.. to our lepaking standards). Yes, they close around 11pm. 🙂 Oh yeah, incase you are wondering about the pinches and the blueblacks. It all really did happen. Yes… the pinching and biting session seriously took place. And the blueblacks.. it does exist (not photoshoped). But well… the blueblack mark was a result of previous pinching sessions from brian. Hahaha… well, to be honest… both have the same amount of blueblacks on their arms. Well.. it always happen. You guys will just have to get used to it as I am totally immuned to the senario and looking at it. So yes… don’t drop your jaws and pop your eyes. See… they were always so excited to meet one another :D.

The football ⚽ fever is all time high this season.
Everyone I know is either busy screaming or shouting with excitement or are total disappointed over the match progress.
As for me, I am totally excited as South Korea is still going strong and have yet to disappoint me!
Go go go! And Nicole just taught me how to cheer for the South Korea team.
She mentioned I should shout “tae han min guk!”.
As such, this week we decided to pay tribute and give our own take to the 2010 World Cup Mascot.
So let’s get the ball rolling!
I manage to come out with cuppie, the next world cup mascot.
I personally am not sure what this year’s mascot name was and I always wonder how does one come up with the name World Cup.
Now, let’s carefully travel around the world with football without spilling anything!
LB submitted his version of the mascot named PussyGalore.
Haha, the cute big round eyes of the pussy gives it an additional cute points.
And the pink looking long and slim legs elevate its elegance.
But I still wonder it is named PussyGalore?
Brian also submitted his version of a cute sheep mascot for the next World Cup.
It is obvious he is a fan of the Brazil team from the flag face paint.
Takeru finally submitted something this week after his busy and hectic schedules for the last few week.
His mascot is named Chiyo. And why he choose Chiyo as the mascot?
That is because girls also starts to be more active in playing football nowadays.
Chiyo is actually a Japanese school girl that plays football.
So cute, the pure white long socks actually makes it so relatable.
Everyone else was too busy for this World Cup there, so this is all the submission I’ve received.
Let’s hope they will be less busy next week 😍
What is up next week?
Project theme: Monster Day

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 April 2006. A night after work where we decided to head to The Curve to have dinner. It’s been a long while and a long plan… I guess for those who have been following I have mentioned we wanted to have dinner and followed by having english tea for a long time. And yes… 11 April 2006 is the mark of the memorable day.. where we successfully manage to have dinner AND have tea after dinner. Hahaha… me and gigi arrived only to find out that brian was in the car talking on the phone.. just 2 parking lot away. Busy talking and talking on the phone.. he left us waiting and walking around. Obviously he has to be punished and thus he was forced to choose a place for us to dine in. Haha… he quickly pointed to ah Tuan ee’s Place. A Nonya restaurant which serves tasty nonya food. I came here once during my ex-company New Year Dinner. I quite like the surrounding as it is not really noisy and it looks clean. Best of all the warm and welcoming wall colours and the antique wooden decos they have inside. We then each order something to share out. Brian ordered the green curry chicken. They say it tasted a little bit weird. I think it tasted alright except the fact that the ginger smell over powers everything. Well… it does taste very much different from the mamak or chinese style of cooking green curry chicken. Gigi ordered the stir fried long beans with sambal belacan. Which in my opinion taste the best of all the dishes we ordered. I ordered the Chai Po egg. It tasted like normal Chai Po egg… except the fact that they put too much pepper in it. But I must really credit on them putting a dash of sesame oil to bring out the aroma. Ah….. lovely . We then head down to Winter Warmer’s for a cup of tea but well… since L B ask me to slow it down on the food… I will post it maybe tomorrow~ 😉 ah Tuan ee’s Place address: Tel: 03-7710 0603). |
