With the help of Nicole, it is maymay‘s birthday (according to australia’s time). Well.. yeah, this is a collaborative post which of course lots of people have participated to give our little maymay all the best wishes on her big day. Of course I hop on in and join them since I did up a Happy May Day post last year. Hope I got things right. And this is how velverse is gonna do it. So yes, this is how it all begin… Ah May will be one year older but I think she still look as hot as she used to be. HOT… yes, you heard me right. Aiks… did I just say hot? Probably she has way surpass the hot level. Perhaps I should say “super hot”. Yeah… no kidding.. you would probably hear the sizzling sound if you walk near enough. Very shocking? Everybody that knows may personally will know she is hot. 😉 Really wan… you dun believe me? You must trust me, okay! Besides being hot, she really is a friendly person. I remember the first time I met her was back in december 2002. Right then, she was a newbie in the office. Then again, I am also a newbie (I came in 2-3 weeks earlier). Hehehe… that is call fate hor? Days, months and years pass by.. the best part is we hardly talk to each other due to the fact that we work on different stuffs. Actually come to think of it… we really seldom talk to each other until we both left to seperate companies. Yeah… I wonder how come too. Thanks to blogging… it keeps both of us in touch. Often, we would peek-a-boo on each other’s blog to see how each other is going on. As a matter of fact, I think I keep track of how she is doing while she hehehe… sees what I do last 7 months (I know I have been slow in updating). Hey, I have been trying very hard dy… somehow it still seems so far away. Maybe I should just not sleep for days to finish up my posts. Ah… see that is how me and maymay got to know each other. Yuppie… it’s really been sometime. Hehe.. so yes maymay.. hope on you will enjoy your birthday this year since this will be your first birthday in Australia. Hope you will be pretty and hot as always not to forget be happy! Hehe… yes yes… the smiling maymay is always the cutest one. Yeah… once again “join th bold pink alphaberts in order to form the message”. Hahaha… So I guess u figure out… I need to give you a very vibrant birthday wish with various type of cake to choose from since v for velverse! 🙂 Really do hope you have a great day. *muacks* |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 02 October 2006. Yeay.. the very first Buka Puasa Dinner with our client. This time of the year, I guess it’s the most buffet I will ever go. The eating goes non-stop. This year, we decided to go somewhere else instead of sticking to Hotel Maya only. Hence, the decision is made… we gotta give Lemon Garden Cafe a try. Gaining lots of recognition serving one of the best buffets in KL, one must really go try. They really do offer a wide variety of food. No kidding… the variety is as much as what Jogoya offers but of course Jogoya is more Japanese oriented while at Lemon Garden Cafe, they serves a large variety of food which includes, Chinese, Japanese, Malay, Western, Italian and even Fusion food. Seriously.. I could never actually finish trying their stuffs especially when it comes to desserts. They have rows and rows, racks and rack… and I practically felt full eating all those food. From chinese to japanese to western to malay. I think I tried all the types. I was really full by then but I told myself I gotta give the chocolate fountain a try. How can I not try the chocolate fountain! It’s really amazing… non stop the chocolate flows…. covering every single inch of the strawberries, marshmallow… and grapes… oh… luxury… it’s better than first love. Really!! I really wanna go and dine there again. Really… 😀 I want to eat more this time 😀 Yes.. more more more! Address: |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 27 September 2006. Nicole saw how I liked the porridge steamboat I always go with Gigi and told me many times before she even touch down in KL that I will have to bring her go. Of course being a cousin that practically doesn’t recognize roads… I need to bring my partner Gigi, her official partner Brian and Winson along. Right… How can I not introduce my buddies to my cute cuz. We went in to the shop, surprisingly not much people. Er… oh yeah I forgot.. this is the second branch.. a few block away from the main shop. We sat down and they passed us menu to choose our ingrediants. They do have the per pax thing. Which they will provide you with generous amount of stuff such as prawns, dumplings, meat, seafood, vege, egg, fishballs and many thing else. We ordered food for 4 pax and ordered extra stuff like thinly sliced pork and beef which taste so smooth and tender in the porridge. Their special pork balls are a must order thing. No kidding… it taste great. Looking at the size of the pork ball one would have guessed it’s nothing normal. Inside the pork ball, there are some minced pork meat with a little soup similar to shanghai dumpling style. When you actually bite the pork ball… juices are actually flowing out. *drool* I want pork balls! Address: |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 23 September 2006. Now.. this was the last get together I attended before my cute cousin, Nicole arrive. Yes, I would of course have to devote most of my time going out with her since she doesn’t really come back to Malaysia to visit me frequently. It it Oliver’s birthday and we all get together at the Curve’s RedBox Karaoke for a little karaoke session. It was really a surprise to see CY as it has been like ages since I last saw her. She hasn’t really change much.. which is a good thing 🙂 Most of the people arrived except for the fashionably late couple (Shirley and Wai Khiong). Hahaha… quite a normal thing. When they arrive we have already finish eating and happily singing. To my surprise, Cy can actually sing and hit those high notes. So we practically spent lots of time just listening to her singing. WOW! Oliver, the birthday boy have a fair share of singing. Mostly Justin, Eason and Jay’s songs. Everyone else would just grab any microphones they could find and sing along. I guess this is the first time everyone actually sings so freely without being shy (except for Gigi… hahaa.. she is very persistant of not singing any song). Anyway… more karaoke sessions for me to train up my talent to be the next idol please. |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 10 September 2006. It’s always a happy day knowing that you will wake up to good food. A prior date has been set. To try out the famous Lum Mee and it’s sotong Fishballs and Fu Pei (something similar to Yong Tau Foo). May King is the locked target. Well, I actually didn’t know where we are heading to or what shop it is until I practically get there. According to my food guide (Miss Gigi), May King is located next to a wet market called Pudu Pasar. When I reach the place, it somehow looked familiar. Yeah, I tried it once before. It was back in year 2002. When I first started to work… Gigi brought me there too. But of course we just pack and eat in the office at that time. Of course one must try what is famous… and Lum Mee it is. The thick yellow noodles topped with shredded chicken meat, prawns and yummy thick black gravy. Ooo la la… it just makes me drool each time I think of it. The fishballs were equally good with chunky bits of sotong. But the best of all was the Fu Pei. It just got this great aroma and taste. I think if I didn’t order my bowl of noodles I could just finish up the whole bowl by myself. According to my reliable source,it’s a hassle to get a place to seat in the shop as it is most of the time packed. Don’t be fooled thinking you could just stand at the front of the line and food will come to you. They do have numbering system. So be smart and get a number or else you probably would just end up standing there the whole day and not getting a place. I heard the Curry Mee was equally good. But well, my stomach was giving this FULL warning. So… next time it is. A good drink is all it need to refreshen us after a filling Lum Mee lunch and a slow walk in KLCC. Bored of the normal coffee places like Starbucks and Coffee Bean, we decided to head to Chinoz On The Park which well, from the name one would know… it’s just by the park. I was actually captivated with their glass sticker. I loved the colours and I think it looks great and work great as a background to take pictures. As usual, Gigi would order a Latte (RM11.00). Coffee addiction alert! Brian ordered Mango Fizz (RM12.00) and I ordered Pink Chocolate (RM16.00). Haha… yes, me and pink are just partner in cime.. and chocolate, woohoo… I can hear it calling my name~ yes… it’s calling my name. What exectly is a Pink chocolate? Pink Chocolate is a mixture of cranberry and strawberry juice mixed with white chocolate essence. Ah… there you have it. That’s what being written on the menu. Of course, I thought it would look pink but apparently it doesn’t. The best part, they even serves us complimentary breads… wee. Yeay… free hot buns.. free hot buns. Er… okay… now.. what shall we do after tea and before movies? Hemm… any ideas? |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 9 September 2006. From Souled Out.. we venture to Wow Wow Cafe at Plaza Damas. Jon suggested the place as he think it is a nice place where everyone can just sit down with a decent drink and just hang out. Like most of the chinese style cafe, this one have people performing singing lots of chinese songs and of course you could make song dedications. We all sat down and enjoyed some of the tunes… but of course some were not up to my expectations. But it’s okay. We then place our orders.. Italian Soda Berry (RM10.90) for me, Ice Hazelnut Mocha (RM10.90) for Jon, Jess Blue (RM10.90) for Winson while Gigi and Brian share a pot of Earl Grey (RM8.90) and some Potato Wedges (RM4.50). While sitting down relaxing and chit chatting, Gigi suddenly took out something she won while buying a drink at Souled Out. Haha… a kiddie arm float. We then ask her to blow it up and pose with it which was cute and funny. It got everyone at our table laughing. And amazingly we even took short video’s where everyone is require to do 3 different facial expressions. Haha… lots of laughter and talking when we notice the night is not young anymore. Talk about getting old 😀 |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 9 September 2006. Right after Loh’s birthday party last night, I re-visited Hartamas area today. This time I hop on over to Souled Out. It was some major anniversary celebration. It’s really a big celebration. We all didn’t actually plan on going until Angeline messaged us and ask us to get tickets from her since she is somehow work related to Souled Out. She told us some part of the money would be donated to some charity.. which I can’t be bothered of where and what amount went to the charity. Well.. I sorta thought it’s for good cause and of course… I can have fun at the fun fair. It’s been a while. Oh yeah! It’s been a while since I have been to some fun fair. I think it’s pretty amazing.. like buying food with tickets.. but of course food is at super expensive price. But well it was fun.. just I was sorta expecting some games booth where ah.. one could win a big teddy bear. Hahaha… yes, I am still a kiddo. I don’t wanna grow up. Me and jon share and brought some extra coupons and wow.. I guess it’s all down to me and jon who end up buying the most food. What can I say, I’m a big eater. Okay.. maybe it’s more of the variety thing! As noticed, we all decided to go with a white theme that night. Haha… at least it’s an easy identification of… yeah.. my friends are there 😀 But well.. thank god none of us got missing. When reach, we bump in to lots of old friends 🙂 Which indeed, is a good way to get together and meet up friends that we somehow lost along the way. The celebration ended with a masquerade parade and some performance. Okay… no, they ended it with fireworks! Lots of fireworks. It was still quite early for us tho that we all decided to go for a second round. This is when jon suggested this place… a place I have never been to before. Wanna know? Okay, will do let you know… tomorrow~ |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 5 September 2006. Ah… finally, our tai kor’s birthday. Haha… many people always think I like to bully him but well.. he’s like a bro to me… so what’s a bro for? sure for the little sister to bully one mar! Hahaha.. now since it’s my tai kor’s birthday, sure must celebrate big big mah! No kidding, a big party is awaiting for him in Checker’s. He can’t run away can he? Haha… everyone in our office face this fate which much can’t run away from. Yes, birthday drinking session! So before the drinking starts, the eating begins. Azli introduce us to this Japanese and Korean mix restaurant which was located a few shops beside Checker’s. Now… don’t really ask me what is the shop’s name as i really didn’t bother to look. Was kinda hungry and my mind just think of eat.. food! food! and more food! Wow… to my surprise, there were lots of japanese people in the shop.. like I would say 80% of them. Hemm… Azli is in charge of ordering the food since he ate there before. As for us, we just wait to eat whatever food that appear on our table. The fun part starts to begin when a charcoal like grill was place in the middle of the table. Then one by one the dishes starts pouring in. All the different type of kimchi’s, vege, starters, then the raw chicken and tongue comes to the table and then veges, corn… lovely lovely. We barely have much place to put everything. It was lovely. Azli even tell us the correct way of eating… what sauce goes with what meat. It was a fun experience. For me… I actually didn’t know and I normally use the “simply hantam (just whack)” method. Haha… I must say, my level of knowledge is one notch higher 😀 Now… this beef tongue eh. At first when I heard the word tongue… I was like. 😐 okay.. tongue er… surely disguisting. But when it appear sliced on the plate… it looks like raw beef slices. Now, how does it taste like eh. Of course it tasted like beef just the texture was way different than I expect it to be. Well… I really dunno how to describe in words. It actually taste better than beef. The texture was amazing. It’s much more tender and ah… it just go so well with the sauce. *burp* Excuse me. I am just way too full. Need to take a rest before going in to Checker’s and get Loh drunk. So yeah, find out what happen next at Checker’s. |
This year seems like an exciting year for me.
A lot of new and different experiences and the first for the year was to get myself locked outside of the office.
And what I learn from that experience?
Make an effort to memorize phone numbers, write down a copy of important phone numbers and set aside.
I am grateful that many people gave me lots of constructive advice on what to do (in case it happen again).
Today, something insane happen despite me doing my daily routine.
My routine includes making my morning drink, checking my emails and chatting with my friends on MSN and Yahoo.
And I was chatting with Kenny Ng on happy lau sai-ing day.
Yes, he messaged me while I was at work and as we chat, we suddenly talked about the IRC topic.
He told me he used to mIRC a long time ago and told me funny stories as I needed a good laugh for the day.
I told him I used to mIRC too and met many pretentious and fake people inside.
And to our surprise, many people we knew took mIRC to a very serious level.
There were many who gangster their way around, some girls who offer themselves just to be an OP in the channel while many others would just fight and backstab each other.
Kenny agreed with me and shared with me more juicy stories.
And what happens next was wild!
Kenny: Sleeping with channel founder to get OP mostly happen in famous channel.
Me: Famous channel, so? But that is still so stupid.
Kenny: Ya lor
Me: OP only right? can dong fan sik (literally translated as: can eat)
Kenny: I was once a SOP in Penang channel
Me: Ooo, what is your nickname? Maybe I knew who you are.
Kenny: Last time, I go by the nickname XXXXX (😲 OMG! He is super famous)
Me: OMG! I knew you!
Kenny: Huhhh?????? You knew me?
Me: OMG! You knew AAAAA (some other mIRC chatter’s nick)?
Kenny: Die! Yes, I know him of course.
Me: Then do you know BBBBB?
Kenny: Yes! He married already, and he is my classmate actually!
Me: Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kenny: OMG!!!!! Who are you?
Me: I actually met BBBBB before.
Kenny: What nickname are you using in mIRC?
Me: I am VVVVV
Kenny: It’s you!!!!!!! VVVVV!!!
Kenny: Wow, we had to dig out old stories only know who you are.
Me: That’s crazy right?
Kenny: What a small world.
Me: Yay, I finally meet XXXXX!!
Kenny: Haha! I finally met VVVVV too!!
We were too excited with our new discovery and continued to talk about how other mIRC members were doing.
Me: OK, I still cannot believe it. We knew each other so long already.
Kenny: You were always happy go lucky!
Me: Haha, that’s good right?
Kenny: I also find it hard to believe.
Me: I was only 17 when we chatted. Wow! 10 years ago!
Kenny: I am sure the rest of them will be shocked and laugh when they find out!
Kenny: I was just 19 or 20 back then. Do you think we were considered as lost n found net friend?
Me: For sure long lost la. This is just mindblowing! 😲
Since I found out, we both repeatedly said OMG!! This is crazy!! and we can’t believe it!.
The first time I met Kenny was when I tag along with may to meet up with winn, angel and cocka to have dim sum at Hartamas.
I still find it interesting that I never met Kenny while mIRC-ing instead while blogging.
Yes! I finally meet the super famous XXXXX and know he is famously known as Kenny Ng already.
It was an amazing discovery indeed. Who would have known – someone we chatted with now might be someone we actually knew for quite sometime.
Now, it felt weird as it seemed like I just knew him, but in actual I’ve known him for more than 10 years.
Haha, so dramatic right?
