Backdated post. Actual event took place on 27 August 2006. Ah… *blink blink* Jerry, my god-brother who happens to first see this world on the independence day. Hemm. Now.. for him, it’s a pride thing. Every year confirm got holiday on his birthday. Confirm got extra discounts on outings for the day. Hemmm… now, being his god-sister, I was assigned to plan a birthday party. I initially wanted to throw a dinner cum drinking while listening to live bands at Oasis, Bangsar. Jerry however was more interested in karaoke which twist and turned the whole plan to a karaoke party session. It was supposed to be a Saturday thing but since he have plans to watch Eason Chan’s concert so it was being pushed to Sunday noon K. Ah… that day was a massive singing and screaming and yelling session. Everyone just go all out to sing whatever song that was playing. Even those which some of us accidently pressed. Seems like everyone just knows how to sing every and any song. Then again.. the “pakai hantam” concept always works. We wanted to sing more but our time is up in a blink of an eye. Jerry have to leave early cause he have to pick his girlfriend up from work and head to movies. Me, brian, gigi and jon have plans to watch Monster’s House while Shirley and Chris plan to watch some other movie. Jessy on the other hand… busy busy busy like a bee. 😀 While waiting for our shows, jessy waiting for her sister to come pick her and gigi to arrive, we all decided to go for coffee. Free reading magazines, coffee, quite and calm place… ah seems to be utopia. No where else comes close to Starbucks in Borders. We all chit chat, flip through magazines.. take pictures. It was amazing. I think we did like pretty much stuff. I like how we all always just sit down over a cup of coffee and have endless topics to talk about. It really keeps the mind going. We all then headed of to the Pavillion and catch our show while Jessy went home and continue with her stuff. Ah… I still remember the first time Shirley and Chris knows Brian is bringing his girlfriend out. Instead of questioning him, me and poor jon got it from them. Of course this sorta blanks can and only will be filled up by the couple itself, so yes, I’m leaving it all to Brian and Gigi to answer it all. Dinner is the way to go. More time to chit chat and ask whatever question which they actually wanted to ask. Haha… smart eh? Now… while they were busy with their Q&A session, I just eat, eat and eat more. I wouldn’t wanna get involved in any couple’s issue or else it would be the “when is your turn?” “when you wanna have a boyfriend?” question time. We picked the Ying Ker Restaurant since we all decided to go for something more chinese and some of us wanted rice :D. I love rice. I love it… don’t ask me why… you know why.. coz I am a typical chinese. We ordered Sauteed Siew Bak Choi with Abalone Sauce (RM10.00), Hakka Style Fried Pork Belly with Black Fungus (RM20.00), Claypot Beancurd with Minced Pork and Spring Onions (RM20.00) and a soup. I wasn’t really amazed with their standard of food. But well it’s not one of the worst I have eatan. Just if I was to compare this Hakka dishes and the one Jon brought us to, it was kinda disappointing. But then again… they are busy with their Q&A while I was busy giggling all the way. So… how bad the food taste doesn’t really matter anymore. After the dinner, Shirley and Chris head home while the 3 of us continue our er… 4th round for me at Winter Warmers… of course till late 🙂 Address: |

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 25 August 2006. Bangsar it is again. I guess bangsar and jimbo is not seperable. Just 4 days ago, dinner at Alexis and now a big party at Telawi Street Bistro. Yeah.. a so-called excuse to party. Haha… no kidding. I called up everyone and just say “It’s jimbo’s farewell. He’s leaving town.” and no one can expect the response. Everyone say they will turn up. When everyone asked me who is coming and hearing or looking at the list of those who is attending.. now that is scary. I guess they sorta have to scroll. Well.. I am not surprised. Jimbo is one big name. Everyone knows him. So getting loads of people to gather together isn’t such a hard to do thing! Almost everyone that promise to show up… turn up. Which makes the place pack and we are lack of chairs. Friends from XM times… to ex-XM colleagues… to new-XM people are there. Some I dun even know the name. But well… that is what party is all about. Drink drink.. get to know new people… chit chat a little… run around… drink again.. chit chat a little… oh my god.. how can I forget take some pictures. Yes.. take lots of pictures 🙂 I really miss those times when a whole big group could just get together and hang out. Address: |

Blushed face, striking colour eyebrow… wooo… sounds just so manga… but I seriously can’t imagine.Iif I were to look like this. Let’s put imagination to some reality pictures… all thanks to photoshop… er… this is how I’m gonna look like in a darker tone blue. Haha… somehow a little weird amd funny. Yes, new year… a new me! Ah… after a fun trip to Thailand… I finally see Jimbo again… er… after 2 days. Haha… Gigi and Brian decided to dine and chit chat a little with Jimbo before he heads back to Aussie. The location… ah none other than the Alexis Bistro at Bangsar. Why? Let’s see… Jimbo likes kacang and Gigi says Alexis serves the best tiramisu. Why? Coz it’s coated with honey gazed nuts on the outer layer of the tiramisu. This makes it crunchier and simply the best. Well.. I did try it out before. Haha.. talking about it.. it was a funny story. It is rumoured that eating tiramisu will give you this sort of first love feeling. Hehe… best huh? Not exectly for me (read more). Food was amazing. Er… true to the core.. the food served here is better than the Great Eastern Mall branch. Even the cake isn’t falling apart when it reaches the table. Name it.. we have almost all the different type of meat on the table. Beef, chicken, fish, duck, prawns… ah.. lots and lots of variety. Not to mention the different different type of cakes and pastries. I went for something more western since I think I had overdose of asian food for the last few days. It was fun. Loads and loads of food.. we were busy talking about the trip… it’s amazing. Burp… jom makan lagi! Address: |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 20 August 2006. We decided we shall miss breakfast today… yes, we need beauty sleep and right.. bye bye breakfast! Well.. not like we can sleep till very late since we are catching the 3pm plane. Which means gotta be at the airport around 1pm. Wake up before 11am… take a cab around 12 noon cause Bangkok is known for it’s traffic jams. Yawn… we finally woke up… throw our luggage at the reception area and decided to just walk to the nearest stall and grab something to eat before heading to the airport. Being someone “COOL”, we obviously gotta hang out at this Cool Corner located just around the corner from our hotel. It’s really been sometime since I last drank coke from a glass bottle. Most of the ones in KL was from aluminium cans. We ordered some fried rice. Er… okay, I admit, it was my last day and I am slacking. I forgot to note down the price and address. Don’t blame me… I just wake up from a party night… and I am sad! My holiday is ending! But what really amaze me about this place… they have this DVD listing and time of showing the particular movie. So yes, it’s like a small cinema where you can sit down, order your food and watch movie at the same time. Now see… if I am staying a little longer, I would probably come and catch Herbie 🙂 After finish eating… we walk back to our hotel, grab our bags… dump them in to the cab and … sigh…. bye bye Bangkok. It’s sad. Really… time really flies especially when you are enjoying yourself the most. Ah… we check in and knowing we have lots of hour to kill, we decided to get some coffee. Yeah, I still haven’t have enough sleep. The big signage is like waving at me and welcoming me. Hipnotizing me.. “come to me, come to me”. Ah… Jimbo got himself a Black Canyon Coffee Frost (80 Baht) while I ordered Black Coffee Champ Iced Coffee (60 Baht). Haha… Jimbo then ordered something from the Special Menu. I have no idea what it was. He wanted to munch something. Me… I don’t really have mood to eat anything when I don’t have enough sleep so.. yeah… if you see me with good appetite.. you will know I have a good night sleep!
Right after coffee, we stop aside and bought our airport tax ticket. Now… a reminder for everyone. PLEASE KEEP 500 BAHT UP FOR AIRPORT TAX. This airport tax is not included in your plane ticket. Yes, for those who loves shopping. No matter how crazy the shopping spree goes, please do remember to save up 500 Baht. Or else… muahahaha… I dunno what you are gonna do man. Probably ask around for money. The journey home seems so long. Probably coz I miss Bangkok and I am a little reluctant to leave. Sigh… go to sleep mandy… go to sleep… you need to stop missing everything. Just as I got home… I took out everything I bought in Thailand and start taking pictures of them. Hemmm… buying stuffs isn’t really the hard part. The hard part is thinking to give what to my friends. It’s not like I don’t know what they like… it’s like… hemmm how to put in words. It’s gives I choose with my heart… hence I will have to like it to some degree in order for the gift to be picked. Hence… giving it away is difficult. Which… *ting* I have an idea… I will buy 2 of each next time… then no problem. Haha… okay, I love the plush toy keychains I bought. Awww.. they are all so cute. I wish I have more money to spend.. coz if I do… I would have bought so much more. Some funny and cool diary and pillow case, loads of tees.. to be exact, I bought 18 pieces~ and some small small deco stuffs. Talk about shopping power. Haha… no I didn’t buy anything fancy or expensive. Most of the stuffs I have was from local Thai designers so yeah… I love the feel of it being exclusive. You don’t see everyone and anyone wearing the same stuff and walk around. Now… who gets what? Yawn… too lazy and tired to tell… then again… does it matter?

Shake that ass! Do that sleek dance move. Yes… I know you can do it. Everyone can dance… so can you! The salute this time.. is to the dancing queen. The ones that capture your attention, mesmerize you with their moves… make you drool. Now… that is what we call… “hips don’t lie”. Okay… I gotta try out different different styles. This time a little more manga dance diva style. As usual… I still keep the sexy blue hair thing going. Don’t ask me why. I still haven’t get over the blue hair thing. Being a sexy and sleek dancer…. super short mini skirt is a must… not to mention long legs. *drool* Throw in a pair of long shocking pink boots… ooo la la… Hit me baby one more time! Now, I tend to be a little emotional over season greetings. I don’t know why. I tend to look back. In this case, I was looking at my own photos in Friendster only to notice I have this flare picture that we took during Checker’s opening day. Ah… there and then, our very first Flare family photo. Not to mention it was the one and only family picture. It shows how fast time flies. We finally manage to snap and update our Flare family photo. Ah… now… the very very second family photo. We manage to snap a family photo while in Kuantan. This time, at Checker’s, Kuantan. Now talk about how much Checker’s and us are linked together. Hope there are more family pics to come :). Muahahaha… in the meantime… I am still the little devil among the angels in the office. Hehe… Prem just reminded me before he left office today. “No X’mas notes this year? It’s amazing Adrian still have it at his wall.” I just laughed. Oh yes, how can I totally forget Christmas notes :). Too much holiday~ New year… there will be a new year note. I know it… there will be a note. |
Backdated post. Actual event took place on 18 November 2006.
After a great Evening Hours outing we decided to go blow blow wind in Genting Highlands.
From Kota Kemuning to Genting. Here we go!
We did a quick stop at my house for me to grab a jacket since it’s on the way else I think I will freeze to death.
Everyone parked their car at my place and all of us hop on to Jon’s car and we are all set to go to our usual spot, Starbucks.
I have always love their Christmas 🎄 mood and feel, they never fail to impress from paper cups to the posters and their Starbucks cards.
They always came up with very beautiful and nicely done seasonal themes.
The boys helped us with our orders and picking up the drinks while us girls are busy with our photo session.
Gigi has requested for all of us to do a cute pose which all of us gladly agree to since it is not a hard request.
It was of course a mini interrogation for Jon and June, since we are most curious on how they both got together 💑.
Haha 😂, sharing is caring and I guess what goes around comes around.
Back then when Brian and Gigi got together, Jon asked the most questions.
So yes, one can say revenge is sweet 😆 or one can say we are care dearly for our friends.
Both Jon and June are cool and sporting people, so they answered all our questions at ease with great humour.
It was so much fun and laughter the whole night.
And if my future boyfriend is looking at this post, be prepared!
When everyone is getting ready for Christmas. When you see Ruldoph and Santa Clause and everything cute around. One knows Christmas is around the corner. I wish there are snowman around but sad to say.. I stay in a tropical country thus.. no snow. Hemmm… then again… I hope I can do something in the fridge. Yeah.. a mini one! Sounds fun eh? Since there isn’t any snowman around (despite no snow and no submission). This shall be the only snowman that survives the heat. Yes, I guess others just melt under the hot sun… probably got carried away by the recent massive flood (100 years return period rain.. according to Kenny Ng). Ah.. yes.. my “yo yo yo” and full of bling bling snowman. Now who says snowman can’t be funky! * New submission on 21 December 2006. Now… you know they are a couple just by looking. It’s true… the strokes… hehehe ah… couples in real life, now they even have a “snow-couple”. How sweet . First time submitting, Gigi aka. divine surely melts our heart with a cute and dreamy snowgirl. Hahaha… very merry christmas. What is up next week?

Backdated post. Actual event took place on 11 December 2006.
After a wonderful curry lunch, my besties arranged to have birthday dinner with me.
Since Gigi can only finish work later, our dinner is slightly delayed.
Originally, we decided to try this fondue place in Sri Hartamas.
However, they were already closing when we arrived since it is close to 10pm.
Since they are closing when we arrived, I suggested that we try Kiwi Express since I have tried it with my other friends before.
I would say they serve quite good food and are open till late. So the best place to fit our get together.
We had a simple yet flavourful dinner. I ordered the Cantonese Style Fried Kuey Teow with Deer Meat while Gigi had the Kiwi Express Mix Grill Set and Brian trying out their spaghetti (I forgot what he actually ordered ).
We also ordered Fried Sotong with Honey Sauce. And I must say the Fried Sotong is SUPERB.
The battered squid itself is crunchy, while it is glazed with sweet honey taste.
It was so good that the Fried Sotong finish way faster than our own main course.
I just love the food here. It is one of those place where they serve something pretty normal but just nice.
Oh yes, like the name of their shop – the kiwi juice is a MUST order. They aren’t called the Kiwi Express for no reason.
The kiwi juice is made of 100% kiwi fruit.
One can actually taste the texture of the fruit still.
As a true blogger, taking a lot of photos especially with the bouquet of sunflower is a must.
It’s a wonderful night spent with wonderful people, at a restaurant with huge tree and loads of fairy lights.
Just perfect.
Thanks for everything my friends 😊 Thank you!
