識講 唔識做 即係代溝
#不進則退
It’s a phrase I told myself repeatedly recently.
Really start to feel the generation gap.
Soon, I will be part of the generation.
So let’s keep moving forward.
It has been a while since I last encountered a sexist remark, what is worst is it was from a friend.
And seriously, this has been a challenge in WhatsApp. They keep rolling out new feature to have infinite muting.
But really, what we all wish for is just to mute or block some particular person in the group.
Now back to the story, this very early in the morning. While the phone notification kept ringing with incoming messages, there is this one particular message that literally woke me up “girls nowadays very senang, their salary is flat masuk bank acc nothing much to pay one.”
It all started from an innocent conversation when another friend are looking to hire new execs, and out of no where he dropped da bomb. Seriously? This kinda remarks at this kinda era?
To makes matter worst, he then decided to skew and narrow down to single ladies.
I’m like, really? You’ve got to be kidding me.
I am pretty sure anyone and everyone regardless of gender have their own expenses to pay for, what more if you are single. Who is going to pay for it if it’s not yourself? Am sure one will need to pay for necessities such as rent or pay for transportation or bills or food at the very least, and this doesn’t even include self indulge and pampering things like shopping for clothes, bags and etc.
I am not too sure how many single woman he have met to come to this conclusion, but I did suggest for him to go broaden and meet more single ladies before speaking on behalf.
He even went on to add that he know some single girls who earn quite a lot (5 figures) that don’t have to pay for house, don’t need to pay for car, no debts, but when asked to do investment they refused.
I suppose that is how his straight forward mind came to conclusion and equate that to them having all their salary “flat masuk bank”. And maybe, just maybe.. when someone refused to do an investment with you, it doesn’t mean they don’t invest.
It’s strange, when someone tells you they are sorry.
You heard it loud and clear, but can never feel it.
Sometimes it is probably just used as an opening statement, just to start the conversation.
Sometimes it is a lead in to a longer conversation.
But really, don’t tell me you’re sorry cause I have so much more important things to do than hear you speak.
Someone once told me, be kind to others is sometimes being cruel to yourself.
We may once stuck in this situation. We try to put ourselves in their position, try to accommodate, try to think and care for them.
Maybe it is us who over think. We thought it was call considerate. It’s call being kind to others.
The truth is no one really care what you think. No one cares if it was kindness because they felt entitled and given,
But don’t be mistaken.
Don’t ever mistake my kindness as weakness.
Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.
Seems this is the most common phrase or line I have been saying in the recent days.
Is it really that hard to understand?
Sometimes, I wish I am the one who doesn’t understand this.
Choice is an art of decision making.
It may be the best moment in life as we get to choose from a range of different things and possibilities.
To some, it signifies power as they are given the opportunity and privilege to choose or have an option.
To many, it may be the worst dilemma in life.
用人不疑,疑人不用.
Trust the person you hire, don’t hire the person that you doubt.
I used to ignore this feeling in me, as I chose to believe that others may see things more thoroughly than me.
I chose to believe they were all kind in nature.
I chose to believe they all deserve a chance.
The only person I didn’t believe was myself.
恩斷義絕.
A classic line, I heard over and over again in recent times as I was watching a lot of Chinese period movies.
Every time good friends, lovers, kings and his confidants break ties.
They will all have their back facing each others back, and said this four magical words.
They all shed a tear, walk away and never look back.
I believe it’s really not easy.
How much pain a person have to endure, how much hurt they have to go through to have this kind of determination.
To say it out aloud and walk away.
Such a 🌞 sunny and windy.
A scene filled with floating bubbles, as a kid I already envy scenes like this from the TV series.
When we were growing up, such family activities are considered a luxury.
Our best times are really gathering together watching TVB series.
Am pretty happy, that I finally get the chance to be part of such scene.
It’s a shame my phone camera just didn’t manage to capture and immortalize the moment.
So no choice but to take boss’ picture.
