OMG, it is such a classic to hear songs that I listen to back in the 90’s. And when I heard the song Jellyhead by Crush. It did make me boggle my head a little! Lol and now that I listen back to the song… the lyrics sounded so much more funny than back then!
I used to exchange views with a few designers, and they once told me… great music inspires great art! Which I totally agree, I guess aside inspiring great art… it gives inspiration to cooking good food too!
Now I wonder, what inspires the great musician?
It’s been really long since I mess the kitchen! Guess my mum will say thank god. Cause the cleaning up process takes longer hours than preparing the food! *LOL* 😀
Well, in my opinion… I think cooking is not as hard as it seems. I think it’s way easier than cleaning up! Haha… which is ironically, me and my mum can partner very well… cause she prefer cleaning to cooking!
So, one fine weekend… I decided to cook for my parents! Which seriously shocked them, since I never cook for quite some time 🙂 . The Stuffed Tomatoes with Cheese Tofu and Bacon was new recipe which I adapt and alter from some chinese cook show! I thought it tasted ok only. Hemm… added too much water which affects the reduction! And I think this dish screams “more cheese please!!”
Mmm… as for the Stuffed Mushroom, well that was easy-peasy and I guess it’s been done by gazillion people! So… yahoo!!! Mum say it was perfect! Ok ok… I made that up. She said it was yummy. Dad was speechless. He say not complaining means it taste good.
Breathe in air and spit out fire. So becareful not to step on the tail, cause who knows what will happen next.
Isn’t it a wonder, when something so cute can be so dangerous at the same time!
I’ve always love panda, cause they are so cute and fluffy and of course the best part is, same as the panda… I have super dark cirlce around my eyes. Hehe… So this inspires me to draw panda.
But whatever I draw, always turns out different from what I’m thinking. So I guess I shouldn’t think when drawing! Which leads to my second attempt!
Now I guess, I should just stop thinking and just free my mind! I guess drawing is really a great way to free minds 🙂 .
Yeay! Mooncake Festival is around the corner and I’ve decided to make my own jelly mooncake. Yup, fruity jelly mooncake! Jelly mooncake stuffed with kiwis and lychee.
Mmmm… I’m gonna make more, hehe… this time, I’ll make different flavours! Probably with ice cream too! Then again… still wondering how to prevent the ice cream from melting! Hemmmm…..
It’s been a while since I post my doodles, cause all this while I’m still searching, searching for the the weird side of me to pop up! While searching, I manage to return the king to it’s rightful place… the jungle.
Sometimes, like a circle, we all will return to where one belong to.
Yeay… leaving to airport in like 3 hours from now to visit the beautiful Hanoi. Have done some last minute reading about the place. Mmm… see you guys on Monday.
I’m excited!!! *jump jump jump*
Wow , we finally got the opportunity to try out the BIG “Bad” Matterhorn Burger.
Earlier last month, Deon tried it with his friends and he just can’t stop telling me how good it was.
So I decided to try it together with my VVIPs.
Reservation is a must!
They needed to prepare the ingredients at least a day in advance.
To ensure the burger is still hot and juicy, we will then need to call up the restaurant 1 hour in advance for them to prepare the HUGE burger!
The BIG Bad Matterhorn Burger is definitely the highlight of the shop.
We can see that everyone in the restaurant turn around and looked at the burger when it is served.
While I am aware and well prepared to face the burger and I know it will be big, I am still shocked.
The burger just seems so much bigger and thicker than what I expected.
The BIG Bad Matterhorn Burger is made of:
2 large burger bun (around 450g – which is like 9 inch in diameters)
loads of tomatoes (around 370g)
cucumber pickles (around 200g)
lettuce (200g)
4 slices of bacon,
11 slices of cheese (around 200g) and
this super thick and juicy pork burger patty (around 1.5kg!)
The size of The BIG Bad Matterhorn Burger can literally hide our face.
I was very surprised that the burger is not dry and the meat patty is not rough and still juicy despite how big and thick the patty was.
I was so worried the patty will be overcooked on the outside and undercooked in the middle.
The overall combination was great. The pickled cucumber adds a little sourish taste which balanced out the oily feeling, the crispy bacon and the crunch from the lettuce. It tasted really good and juicy!
There is no way one can avoid the mess. You will definitely need to cut, serve and dig in with both hands.
This burger is for sharing and I would say at least with another 3 or 4 person.
I love every single bit of the burger and will come back for sure.
Anyone want to join me?
The BIG “Bad” Matterhorn burger cost RM112 if you order it on ala carte.
However for big eaters, you can stand a chance to enjoy the burger for free when you join the MATTERHORN CHALLANGE.
In the challenge, you will need to chomp down the Matterhorn burger in 45 minutes.
It’s an individual challenge, so no sharing is allowed.
If you manage to complete the challenge, then you will get to enjoy the burger for FREE!
